Welcome to the South Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization's (SARADO) Web site.
South Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization was formed on 16th May 2007 in the South Asian Anti-Doping Program Project Development Meeting held in Maldives.
The participating countries unanimously agreed to the formation of this body to would benefit South Asia and would be an ideal and fiscally responsible solution to fulfill the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code and more importantly to promote doping-free sport in their respective countries.
Moreover, participants agreed that the establishment of a Regional Anti-Doping Organization will provide the ability for countries within South Asia to pool resources to support the Regional Anti-Doping Organization.
This method of operation would result a cost and human resource effective anti-doping programs, for a region that falls short in these areas. South Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization comprises of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
During the meeting Maldives offered to host the RADO Office under the umbrella of Maldives Olympic Committee.
The participating member nations agreed to the proposal and unanimously voted to give the RADO office for the Maldives.
During the meeting it was also agreed that Maldives will host the office for four years starting from 16th May 2007, and on completing the term will decide which country will host the RADO Office again.
Value and foster doping free sport among South Asia RADO member countries
To promote and co-ordinate the fight against doping in sport in all its forms in among South Asia RADO member countries.

We will benchmark off and apply best practice standards to all our activities.
We will develop innovative and practical solutions to assist South Asia RADO member countries and sporting organizations to implement effective anti-doping programs.
